Breathing in Disaster: Meditation for the Anthropocene

The air around us facilitates an atmosphere of exchange. Air knows no borders. Air follows its own agenda. Air documents the participative history of our existence.
This meditative journey explores our relationship to the air, and how our bodies and creations participate in the shared history held in the atmosphere of our earth. By conducting breathing exercises taking us through the history of our atmosphere, organic and bodily exchanges, as well as the toxic anthropocentric consequences of our actions, we can reflect together on the current state of globally shared spaces.

This project was initially conceived during the Low Carbon Design Institute residency in June 2022 and exhibited during the exhibition How did we get here? in November 2022.
